Kase International Magnetic Back Cap 77mm
Kase International Magnetic Back Cap 77mm | Keep your filter covered between uses
Your 77mm filter has a cover ready for the moments it’s off the lens and back in your bag. The Kase International Magnetic Back Cap 77mm is a rear cap for a 77mm filter, with a magnetic design for attaching and removing it. It suits photographers who carry filters separately and want a simple way to keep one covered between uses, rather than leaving it exposed among other kit. Use it when you put a filter away after a shoot, or while changing filters during the day. Its purpose is straightforward: cover the back of a filter when it isn’t mounted. The 77mm size makes it relevant to photographers with a filter in that size; it isn’t a general-purpose cover for every filter in a kit. If you’re sorting your accessories, it’s a small, specific piece of kit that helps keep one filter together with its own cover.
Specialist Note
People new to carrying filters often focus on covering the front and leave the back unprotected once the filter comes off; this cap gives that rear side its own cover. The magnetic attachment is handy when you’re packing a filter between locations: fit the cap before putting the filter away, then remove it when you’re ready to use it again. I’d choose it for a 77mm filter you regularly take out of your bag, especially if you keep filters in a separate pouch. The size is the key limitation: it’s for 77mm filters, so it won’t serve as a shared cap for differently sized filters. Keep it with the filter it belongs to, and it’s easy to make that part of your routine.
