Kase Revolution Mag Pinch Lens Cap 82mm
Kase Revolution Mag Pinch Lens Cap 82mm | A magnetic pinch cap for 82mm lens fronts
The 82mm size is the defining choice here: it makes this cap a match for a lens front with that diameter, rather than a one-size-fits-all cover. Kase calls it a Mag Pinch Lens Cap, combining a magnetic attachment with a pinch-style design. It’s a straightforward accessory for photographers who want to cover an 82mm lens when they’re between shots or putting their camera away. A lens cap helps keep the front of the lens covered when it isn’t in use; the pinch design gives you a way to remove it without treating the cap as a loose cover to prise off at the edge. The name also points to magnetic attachment, a practical approach when you want a cap that goes on and comes off quickly. Its appeal is specific: a simple protective cap in the stated 82mm size, for photographers who know that’s the size they need.
Specialist Note
For landscape and city photographers who pause between compositions, this is a useful cap to keep the front of an 82mm lens covered while you walk or wait for the next frame. The 82mm size matters: it’s the dimension to match on the lens front, so this isn’t a universal cap. Its pinch design gives you a direct way to take it off when you’re ready to shoot again, while the magnetic element is part of how the cap attaches. I’d use it between setups and when packing the lens away, rather than leave the glass exposed in a bag. The honest limitation is simple: the stated size makes it specific to 82mm fronts.
