Kondor Blue KB-CLAMPNAT 15mm Rod Parallel NATO Clamp

Kondor Blue KB-CLAMPNAT 15mm Rod Parallel NATO Clamp | Joins a rod and NATO mounting point

Without a dedicated clamp, joining a rod and a NATO mounting point can call for a less direct arrangement. The Kondor Blue KB-CLAMPNAT is named for that specific task: it’s a 15mm rod parallel NATO clamp. It suits camera-rig builders who need those two elements together in a parallel arrangement, rather than a general-purpose clamp for an unspecified job. The useful thing here is the clear role in the product name; you can judge it against the parts you’re planning to bring together. Renz lists it in the cable accessories category, though the name itself describes the rod-and-NATO connection rather than a particular cable function. If that connection is what your setup calls for, this is a focused component to consider. Its job is specific, and that’s also the honest limit of what the name tells you.

Where it fits

Think of this as a connection point in a build that uses a 15mm rod and NATO mounting. The word “parallel” matters: it describes the arrangement this clamp is named for, so it’s worth comparing that orientation with the layout you have in mind. This isn’t a description of a complete rig or a promise that it suits every camera setup; it’s a part identified by its rod size and mounting style. For a careful build, those terms give you a practical starting point: identify the rod and NATO elements involved, then decide whether a parallel connection is the one your layout needs. There’s no reason to buy it for a vague need for “more mounting options”; its appeal is the particular connection stated in its name.
