Kondor Blue KB DP8 8" ARRI Light Dovetail Plate Space Grey

Kondor Blue KB DP8 8" ARRI Light Dovetail Plate Space Grey | An 8-inch plate for ARRI Light setups

What sets the KB DP8 apart is its clearly specified format: this is an 8-inch ARRI Light dovetail plate, rather than a plate with an unspecified interface or length. It suits camera builders who already know that this is the format their rig calls for and want a plate with its size and finish easy to identify. The space grey colour gives the product a distinct look, while the named ARRI Light format is the key detail to consider when planning where it belongs in a build. In the shop, I’d start with that interface and length, not the colour: those details make the plate’s intended place in a setup clearer. If you’re choosing between plates, the DP8’s appeal is its straightforward specification. It’s a specific piece of rig hardware, not a general-purpose cable accessory.

Choosing the right plate for your rig

Before settling on this plate, think about the connection your setup requires and the amount of plate length that makes sense for your build. The name gives you two concrete reference points for that decision: ARRI Light and 8 inches. Those are more useful than relying on appearance alone when comparing rig components. Space grey is a visual detail; it doesn’t tell you about fit. I’d treat the format as the deciding point, then consider whether the stated length suits the layout you have in mind. That keeps the choice grounded in the product’s actual description and helps avoid buying by model name alone. The KB DP8 is a focused option for a build that calls for this particular dovetail format and size.
