Kondor Blue KB-DTAP-EXT D-Tap-Extensions Cable w/ Plug On Socket

Kondor Blue KB-DTAP-EXT D-Tap-Extensions Cable w/ Plug On Socket | Add reach to a D-Tap connection

Give your D-Tap connection more room to reach its destination. The Kondor Blue KB-DTAP-EXT is an extension cable with a plug on one end and a socket on the other, suited to setups where the existing cable needs extra reach. That straightforward layout is the point: it extends a connection without changing the plug-and-socket arrangement named in the product title. You’ll find it useful when the distance between the D-Tap connection and the place you need the cable to reach is awkward, or when a short run makes positioning other gear inconvenient. It’s a simple piece of cabling, rather than a power accessory with a more elaborate job. The honest consideration is that an extension adds reach, but the amount you need depends on your own setup.

Choosing where to use it

Think about the route the cable needs to take and where its two ends will meet your existing connections. One end is a plug and the other a socket, so the arrangement matters when you’re deciding whether this is the right extension for your cable run. That detail is more useful than a broad promise about fitting every rig: the title identifies it as a D-Tap extension, but doesn’t name particular cameras or accessories. If your aim is simply to extend a D-Tap connection while retaining a plug-to-socket layout, this is the role this cable is described for. Keep the path practical and allow enough slack for the way your setup is arranged; the exact amount of reach required is specific to your rig.
