Kondor Blue KB-ML-F-BK Mini Lock Quick-Change Plates
Kondor Blue KB-ML-F-BK Mini Lock Quick-Change Plates | Make tripod changes with less fuss
The defining choice is a mini quick-change format: it keeps the plate part of your tripod setup focused on changing over, rather than adding another piece of support equipment. The Kondor Blue KB-ML-F-BK is a tripod accessory for photographers and filmmakers who want a plate-based way to move between camera setups. Its name also puts the locking function front and centre, a useful consideration when you want the plate to stay put as you work. The practical appeal is in having a dedicated accessory for the changeover itself, whether you’re setting up a camera on a tripod or making room for another part of your workflow. It’s a specific, compact-format accessory rather than a tripod or head, so it makes most sense when you already know you want this kind of plate in your kit. I’d keep the exact model code handy when choosing it.
Specialist Note
Changing setups is the job this accessory is named for: the quick-change format is meant to make that part of your workflow more direct. The “Mini” designation points to a smaller-format approach, which suits a kit where you’d rather keep the plate unobtrusive than add a larger accessory. And “Lock” matters because a plate needs to stay secured while the camera is in use; it’s the detail I’d pay attention to when choosing a plate for tripod work. I’d consider it for a setup where you move a camera between a tripod and another shooting position, or where you regularly swap the camera on a support. Keep KB-ML-F-BK as your reference when matching the exact item. It’s a focused accessory, not a replacement for the tripod or head.
