Kondor Blue KB-NR-17 1.7" NATO Rail

Kondor Blue KB-NR-17 1.7" NATO Rail | A compact rail for a deliberate rig layout

When you’re planning a camera rig and only need a short section of rail, the Kondor Blue KB-NR-17 gives you a specific size to work around. It’s a 1.7-inch NATO rail from Kondor Blue, intended for builds that use a NATO rail as an attachment point. That makes it relevant to camera operators and rig builders who are laying out a setup piece by piece, rather than looking for a long rail section. Its most practical appeal is right there in the name: a defined, short length that can suit a limited space on a rig. Before choosing any rail, it helps to decide where it needs to sit and how much room that spot offers. This one is a focused component, not a complete rig solution, so its value depends on the layout you’re building.

Planning around a short rail

A short rail can be a sensible way to add a NATO rail section where a longer piece would take up more room than you need. Think about the position first: the rail has to sit where it can serve the purpose you have in mind, and the available space on your rig will shape that decision. The 1.7-inch measurement gives you a concrete dimension to use when planning that placement. It’s a small detail, but it’s the sort of detail that saves guesswork when you’re working with a compact build. This product is best understood as one component in that process. If your setup calls for a short NATO rail, the KB-NR-17 is easy to identify by its model name and stated length.
