Laowa 24mm T14 Periprobe Waterproof Shell (90DEGREE Lens Module)
Laowa 24mm T14 Periprobe Waterproof Shell (90DEGREE Lens Module) | Take your Periprobe setup underwater
Laowa 24mm T14 Periprobe Waterproof Shell (90DEGREE Lens Module) is an underwater housing built around a 90-degree lens module. It’s for photographers who want to take this Laowa Periprobe setup snorkelling, diving or to the pool, rather than keep their work on dry land. The right-angle module gives this version a distinct shooting direction to work with when composing underwater scenes. The 24mm T14 designation also makes it a specific match for photographers planning around that lens setup, not a general-purpose underwater housing. Think close, considered compositions in and around the water, where the angle of view is part of the picture. It’s a focused piece of kit for those who already have a clear idea of the images they want from a Periprobe system. For casual swimming or broad underwater coverage, it may be more specialised than you need.
Specialist Note
Photographers drawn to unusual underwater angles and close-up scenes are the ones I’d point towards this shell. The 90-degree lens module gives you a different direction to compose from, which can help when you want the camera’s viewpoint to sit across a subject rather than approach it head-on. The T14 designation is also worth planning around: in dim water, allow for added light or a slower shutter rather than expecting the lens setup to gather light freely. I’d consider it for deliberate pool compositions or detail-led snorkelling pictures, taking time to place the angle before making the frame. It’s a specialised housing, so its appeal depends on wanting this particular Periprobe arrangement.
