Laowa Proteus 20mm T4.1 SH Lens Cap
Laowa Proteus 20mm T4.1 SH Lens Cap | Keep your lens covered between takes
Keep the front of your Laowa Proteus 20mm T4.1 SH covered between takes and while the lens is put away. The Laowa Proteus 20mm T4.1 SH Lens Cap is a replacement or spare cap named for that specific lens. It’s for owners who want a straightforward way to cover the lens when it isn’t being used, rather than leave it exposed between setups or in storage. Put it on when you finish a shot, then remove it when you’re ready to work again. That simple routine helps keep the lens covered during the pauses around a shoot, without changing how you use the lens itself. Since the title identifies a particular Proteus lens, this is a focused accessory for that pairing, not a general-purpose cap listing. If you own that lens, it gives you a clear, model-specific option to keep with your kit.
Specialist Note
This cap’s clearest job is keeping the named Proteus lens covered in the gaps between setups. The 20mm and T4.1 in its name identify the lens it’s intended for; they aren’t settings on the cap, so there’s no exposure adjustment to make here. I’d keep it on whenever the lens is off the camera and going back into storage, then remove it before filming. That suits owners of the Laowa Proteus 20mm T4.1 SH who want a cap specifically named for their lens. It’s a small, practical part of the routine, rather than an accessory that changes the image or adds a shooting control.
For the named Proteus lens
This is a deliberately specific accessory: its product name points to the Laowa Proteus 20mm T4.1 SH. Keep the cap with that lens so it’s ready when you wrap a setup or put the lens away. There’s no need to treat it as part of your shooting settings; its role is simply to cover the lens while it isn’t in use. If you’re choosing a cap for a different lens, this product name doesn’t identify that other pairing.
