Leofoto Ball Head LH-36 + Release Plate QP-70N
Leofoto Ball Head LH-36 + Release Plate QP-70N | Precise tripod framing for stills
It can be frustrating to make a careful composition on a tripod, only to find the framing needs another adjustment. The Leofoto LH-36 is a ball head for positioning your camera on a tripod, with the QP-70N release plate included in the product name. It suits photographers who want to compose still images with care, from a landscape to a tabletop subject, and make deliberate framing adjustments from a fixed position. A tripod head is particularly useful when you want to refine the composition without changing the tripod’s position. This one is best approached as a straightforward still-photo tool: set up the tripod, frame the subject, then make the small changes needed to settle on the view you want. It’s a focused option for precise tripod work, rather than a head described here as having specialist panorama or video controls.
Specialist Note
For a one-frame landscape at first light, I’d set the tripod first and take time to settle the composition with the LH-36. Its ball-head design is the detail to focus on: it’s intended to help you position the camera for precise framing, which is handy when a small change in the view matters. The QP-70N release plate is part of this named pairing, so you’re considering the head and plate together rather than the head alone. I’d point this setup toward still photography and careful compositions; if your main aim is specialised video panning, this isn’t where I’d start.
