Leofoto L Plate For Nikon D750 Camera Body
Leofoto L Plate For Nikon D750 Camera Body | Switch orientation on a tripod
When a landscape composition is set up on a tripod and you need to turn the camera for a portrait frame, this is the kind of accessory that can make the change more straightforward. The Leofoto L Plate is a tripod accessory made for the Nikon D750 camera body. Its L-shaped format is intended for mounting the camera in either orientation, so you can move from horizontal to vertical framing without relying on the tripod head’s side tilt. That can be handy for portrait-format architecture, still life or landscape details where you want to keep working from a fixed position. It’s a focused piece of kit rather than a general-purpose camera accessory: its appeal is tied to using a D750 on a tripod and changing composition orientation. If that’s a regular part of your setup, it gives you a dedicated way to make that adjustment.
Specialist Note
Changing to portrait orientation can mean shifting the camera off the centre line of your tripod head; this L plate is intended to avoid that workaround. Because it’s made for the Nikon D750 camera body, I’d consider it when that specific camera is a regular part of your tripod setup, rather than as a plate to share across different bodies. For portrait-format architecture, frame your building in landscape first, then remount in the vertical position to compose the upright view without tilting the head sideways. The same approach suits a vertical still-life composition at home. It’s a specialist fit for one camera body, so its usefulness depends on owning and mounting the D750.
