Leofoto NP-60S QR Plate | Switch between tripod and handheld

When you want to move your camera between tripod work and handheld shooting, a quick-release plate can save you from repeatedly attaching and removing the camera itself. The Leofoto NP-60S is a tripod accessory in the form of a QR plate, made for that changeover: the plate stays with your camera, ready to connect to a compatible quick-release clamp. It suits photographers who use a tripod for considered compositions, then want to pick up the camera again without making the mounting process part of every change. Its practical role is straightforward: keep the camera-to-tripod connection prepared, so returning to a tripod setup is quicker. That makes it most relevant for regular changes between supported and handheld shooting, rather than for someone looking for a tripod or a complete support system. Match it with a compatible clamp for the quick-release workflow.

Specialist Note

The NP-60S helps you move a camera on and off a tripod without having to attach the camera from scratch each time. As a QR plate, its job is to stay on the camera and work with a compatible quick-release clamp; that’s the detail to build your setup around. I’d consider it for someone who switches between tripod-mounted landscape compositions and handheld framing, or uses a tripod for still-life work and then needs to reposition the camera. Keep the clamp ready on your tripod, and the plate makes those changes more direct. It’s an accessory, not a complete mounting system, so the clamp needs to match.
