Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW IV-Black

Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW IV-Black - 22 litres with quick side access

The Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW IV-Black is a 22-litre camera backpack with quick side access for getting to your camera while you’re out shooting. It’s aimed at content creators and travellers carrying a camera kit alongside personal essentials. The main compartment has space for a camera and three to four lenses, with room for accessories too. That makes the pack a sensible fit for a full day of photography or a longer trip where you’d rather keep your kit together. Two compartments open fully from the back, so you can lay out and organise your gear at a hotel or keep it arranged while passing through an airport. The backpack is cabin-size compliant, and a dedicated zipped section combines storage for a 16-inch laptop and a passport. That single access point is handy when you need those items during airport security checks. Use the camera compartment for a city shoot, then separate it from your personal belongings on a travel day with the fold-down divider. It’s a substantial pack, but its useful detail is how it keeps camera equipment and travel items in one organised bag.

What it does

• Quick side access: Reach the camera through the side opening rather than opening the whole backpack. It’s a useful way to retrieve your camera during a shoot while keeping the rest of your packed gear in place.
• Full rear access: Both compartments open fully from the back. You can see and arrange what’s inside, with the rear opening keeping the equipment side against your back while the bag is being carried.
• Fold-down divider: The divider separates personal belongings from camera equipment, then folds away when you want to use the backpack’s capacity as one day-bag compartment. That gives the interior a different layout for a camera outing and a trip with more personal items.
• Stretch side pockets: Two stretchy pockets can carry a water bottle and a compact travel tripod. Keeping those items on the outside leaves the main compartments available for your camera kit and belongings.
• Accessible front pocket: A front pocket holds personal items you want to reach quickly. It gives small travel essentials a separate place from the camera equipment stored inside.
• Stowable padded waist belt: The padded belt adds support and stability when carrying heavier equipment, and tucks away when you don’t need it. It can stay out of sight between longer carries.
• AW Cover included: The supplied All Weather cover protects the backpack against rain, snow and sand. Keep it available for changing conditions during a shoot or while travelling.

Good to know

The black exterior uses coated recycled nylon with a subtle diamond pattern. Lowepro has also added handles at both the top and bottom, giving you two points to grip when lifting or moving the pack. These details are useful on travel days when you might carry the backpack on your shoulders, then need to pick it up by hand to load or reposition it.
