Marumi FS Plus Lens Protect Filter 62 mm
Marumi FS Plus Lens Protect Filter 62 mm | A simple layer of front-lens protection
Without a protection filter, the front of your lens is directly exposed during everyday use. The Marumi FS Plus Lens Protect Filter is a straightforward way to add a protective filter to a lens with a 62 mm filter thread. It suits photographers who want a little extra reassurance while carrying or using their lens, particularly in settings where the front element might be touched or brushed by something. Its purpose is protection, rather than changing how you take a picture; you can keep using your lens as usual. The important detail is the 62 mm size: it needs to match the filter thread on the lens you intend to use it with. This is a simple accessory with a specific job, not a substitute for careful handling or putting a lens cap on when you’re finished. If you want a filter for everyday front-lens protection, this Marumi is made for that role.
Specialist Note
For a 62 mm lens you take out regularly, this is the sort of filter I’d consider leaving in place during day-to-day use. The 62 mm marking refers to the filter size, so it’s the detail to match to the lens’s filter thread. And because this is specifically a Lens Protect Filter, its job is to put a protective filter in front of the lens, rather than to add a creative effect. It makes sense for routine outings or when you’re working in a busy space where the front of the lens may get brushed. One sensible limit: it doesn’t replace a lens cap when the lens is packed away.
