Marumi StepDown Ring Lens 58mm To Accessory 52 mm
Marumi StepDown Ring Lens 58mm To Accessory 52 mm | Use a smaller filter on your lens
Use a smaller filter on a lens with a wider filter thread, so you can keep that accessory in use rather than set it aside. The Marumi StepDown Ring Lens 58mm To Accessory 52 mm connects a 58 mm lens thread to a 52 mm accessory thread. It suits photographers who have filters or other accessories in the smaller size and want to use them with a lens that has a wider thread. Attach the ring between the lens and the accessory to make that size transition. It’s a simple, practical solution for everyday filter use, particularly if you’d rather work with accessories you already own than buy another size. The ring is black. Keep in mind that it adapts the thread size only: it doesn’t change the accessory itself or its effect.
Specialist Note
The ring’s smaller inner opening is the detail that makes it useful: it gives a 52 mm filter a way to fit a lens with a 58 mm thread. That’s handy if your filter set is already built around the smaller size and you’ve added a lens with a wider thread. Its black colour keeps the adapter visually low-key among your camera accessories. I’d consider it for routine filter changes when you want to keep using those smaller filters rather than buy larger versions. Just bear in mind that it only steps down the thread; it won’t alter the filter’s effect or adapt accessories of other sizes.
