Mentter EX-Pro+ MRC-UV 72mm Slim | UV filtering in a slim format

For a setup that calls for UV filtering, the Mentter EX-Pro+ MRC-UV 72mm Slim is a straightforward filter to consider. It’s a UV filter in a slim format, with 72mm in the product name identifying its size. That size matters when matching a filter to a lens: the lens needs a 72mm filter thread. The slim designation points to a slimmer profile, which can help keep the filter arrangement at the front of the lens less bulky. This is a practical option for photographers who specifically want a UV filter in this size, rather than a different kind of filter effect. The MRC-UV wording is part of the model name; I’d keep that exact designation in mind when comparing it with other filters. Its purpose is simple: add UV filtering to a lens setup that takes this size.

Specialist Note

It’s frustrating to choose a filter and then find its size doesn’t match the lens; the 72mm designation gives you a clear size to match against the lens’s filter thread. The UV type makes this the one to consider when UV filtering is what you want, rather than a filter for a different effect. I’d point it towards someone who has a 72mm thread and wants this specific filter type for outdoor photography, such as landscapes or travel scenes. The slim format keeps the filter profile less bulky at the front of the lens. One point to keep in mind: the name gives you the size and type, so match those to your intended setup.
