Nedis CAT6 SF/UTP-Network Cable RJ45M-RJ45M 1.0m BK

Nedis CAT6 SF/UTP-Network Cable RJ45M-RJ45M 1.0m BK | A short link for nearby network equipment

When two pieces of network equipment sit close together, a long cable can leave awkward slack behind the desk. This 1.0-metre Nedis network cable gives you a shorter link between devices with matching RJ45 connections. It has RJ45 male connectors at both ends, so it’s made for connecting one network port to another. The cable is CAT6 and SF/UTP, and its black finish is easy to keep discreet among other cables. For a nearby router, switch or other network device, its modest length is the useful part: you can make the connection without routing a long lead around the room. It’s a straightforward cable for a simple job. Measure the route before choosing a length; a close fit is tidy, but you’ll want enough slack to move equipment when needed.

Choosing the right length

A short network lead can help keep a small setup orderly, especially when equipment is arranged on the same shelf or desk. Think about the actual path between the two connection points, rather than the straight-line distance: cables may need to run around an edge or down the side of furniture. This model is best considered when that route is short. If your devices are farther apart, a longer cable may suit the layout better. The RJ45 male-to-male arrangement is also worth matching to the ports you intend to connect. Once the cable is in place, leave enough room at each end for the equipment to be repositioned without pulling on the connections.
