Nedis Stereo Audio Cable 3.5mm M - 3.5mm F 5.0m GY

Nedis Stereo Audio Cable 3.5mm M - 3.5mm F 5.0m GY | Give an audio lead more reach

Without an extension, an audio lead can leave you short of where you want to sit or place your equipment. This Nedis stereo audio cable gives you a 5.0m connection, with a 3.5mm male plug at one end and a 3.5mm female socket at the other. It’s intended for extending a lead that uses a matching 3.5mm connection, rather than replacing a cable with a different plug at both ends. That makes it a straightforward option for a desk, listening area or other setup where the existing lead doesn’t quite reach. The cable is grey, so it’s easy to distinguish from darker leads when several are routed together. There’s no complicated setup: connect the plug to a suitable 3.5mm socket, then connect the existing lead to the female end. The main thing to consider is simply whether those connections suit your equipment.

For a little more room

An extension can make a setup easier to arrange without moving the source closer. For example, you can position a connected audio device where it’s convenient and route the existing lead to a more comfortable listening spot, provided the connections match. The female socket gives your current lead somewhere to plug in; the male end connects to the corresponding socket on the source side. That’s the useful distinction here: this cable adds reach to a connection, rather than serving as a lead with two male plugs. At 5.0m, it offers a longer run for setups where a short cable would be awkward, though you’ll want to route the extra length neatly to keep it out of the way. It’s a simple cable, and its value is in that specific job—bridging the gap between matching 3.5mm audio connections.
