Nedis USB-Cable | Extra reach for your USB setup

When the USB connection you need is just out of reach, a longer cable can make the setup easier to arrange. This Nedis USB-Cable is a 3.00 m USB 2.0 cable, suited to a desk or equipment area where the connection point isn’t right beside the device. Its stated data rate is 480 Mbps; that’s the figure to keep in mind when choosing it for a connection where transfer speed matters. The cable is round, with a PVC covering and a nickled finish. It’s black, so it stays fairly discreet alongside dark equipment. Its strongest reason to choose it is straightforward: extra cable length for a USB-C connection, without moving the equipment closer to the port. The rate is a specific USB 2.0 figure, rather than a promise that every transfer will reach it.

Planning the cable run

Think about where the cable needs to go before you settle on a position for your equipment. A direct route is usually easier to manage than one that crosses a walkway or gets caught behind furniture. Leave a little slack at each end so the cable isn’t pulled tight when something is moved. If it needs to pass around an edge, take the route gently rather than forcing a sharp bend. These small choices can help keep a cable run tidy and make it easier to reach the connected equipment. The right placement depends on your own setup, so measure the route you have in mind instead of judging it by eye.
