Nikon AN-6Y Wide Nylon Neckstrap
Nikon AN-6Y Wide Nylon Neckstrap | Broad, simple neck carry
Without a dedicated strap, you have to keep a camera in your hand or find another way to carry it. The Nikon AN-6Y is a wide nylon neckstrap for photographers who prefer to keep a camera close and ready without holding it continuously. Its wider profile gives more contact area than a narrow strap, while the nylon construction keeps it a straightforward fabric option. It suits everyday carrying, from moving around at home to a relaxed walk where you want your hands free between frames. The AN-6Y is best for someone who wants a simple neck-worn strap with a broad design, rather than a more elaborate carrying setup. Its appeal is direct: it gives you a way to carry a camera around your neck and keep it within reach. If that’s the carry style you prefer, this Nikon strap keeps things uncomplicated.
Specialist Note
For a one-camera day walking between stops, I’d choose the Nikon AN-6Y when I want the camera close without holding it all the time. The wide shape gives you a broader area over the neck than a slim strap, which can be a welcome difference during a walk. Its nylon construction makes this a fabric strap with a simple, familiar feel, rather than a rigid support. I’d suggest it to someone who wants straightforward neck carry for a stroll or while moving around an event, keeping the camera ready between moments. One honest point: a neckstrap leaves the camera hanging, so it won’t suit you if you’d rather keep your camera tucked away.
