Olympus Pen 35mm Half-Frame Compact

Olympus Pen 35mm Half-Frame Compact - Good Condition | Classic Japanese Half-Frame Camera with D.Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 Lens

The Olympus Pen is the original and iconic half-frame compact camera from Olympus’s celebrated Pen series — the camera that launched one of the most beloved and enduring compact camera lineages in photographic history. Designed by the legendary Yoshihisa Maitani and introduced in 1959, the original Pen combined a sharp D.Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 fixed lens with a simple and elegant half-frame design that shoots 18x24mm images on standard 35mm film — effectively doubling the number of exposures per roll to 72 shots on a standard 36-exposure film. Simple, reliable, and deeply satisfying to shoot with, the original Olympus Pen remains one of the most sought-after and collectible Japanese compact cameras ever produced. Serial number SR 1004994.
