Permajet Canvas Testpack A3+ 12SH

Permajet Canvas Testpack A3+ 12SH | Try canvas prints before choosing

When you’re considering a canvas print and want to judge the result for yourself, a testpack gives you a way to make trial prints before settling on a final approach. The Permajet Canvas Testpack is identified as a canvas testpack in A3+ format, with 12SH in the product name. That makes it a practical option for photographers and printmakers who want to work with canvas in this size and assess their own images on it. The useful part of a test is seeing how your chosen picture comes out in your own workflow, rather than relying on a description alone. I’d begin with an image you know well: familiar colours and detail make it easier to spot what you like, and what you might change. It’s a simple, hands-on way to explore canvas printing.

Getting more from your test prints

Give each trial a clear purpose. You might print the same image more than once, changing one part of your workflow at a time, or use different images to see how your subjects translate to canvas. Keep a note of what you changed and how each result looks; otherwise, it’s easy to forget which version you preferred. Look at the prints in the place you’d normally view them, and take a little time before deciding. A quick glance straight after printing can be misleading, especially when you’re comparing subtle differences.

The pack is a starting point for your own assessment, not a promise that every image will suit canvas in the same way. That’s useful: your subject, colour choices and intended presentation all affect what you’ll want to judge. With 12SH in the name, there’s room to make several considered trials, but it’s worth planning them rather than using sheets at random. For a first test, I’d keep the image and viewing conditions consistent, then change just one thing. You’ll get a clearer sense of your preference without making the comparison harder than it needs to be.
