PGYTECH Osmo Pocket 4p CPL Filter
PGYTECH Osmo Pocket 4p CPL Filter | Tame reflections in your footage
Reflections from water, glass and other shiny surfaces can draw attention away from your subject, especially in a compact-camera shot where there’s little room to reframe. The PGYTECH Osmo Pocket 4p CPL Filter is a circular polarizing filter intended for the Osmo Pocket 4p. A CPL helps reduce reflected glare and can make colours look more distinct when the light and viewing angle are right. That makes it useful for filming across a lake, capturing a shop window or keeping bright reflections from dominating a scene. It’s aimed at Osmo Pocket 4p users who want more control over reflections while recording, rather than a general-purpose lens accessory. The effect depends on the angle between the filter, the light and the subject, so it won’t remove every reflection in every situation. For the strongest change, adjust the polarizing angle while watching the image and stop when the reflection is reduced without losing the look you want.
Specialist Note
“Will this help with reflections in my Osmo Pocket 4p footage?” Yes—that’s the point of choosing a CPL. It’s a circular polarizing filter, so you can tune how much reflected light is reduced by adjusting its angle as you frame the shot. For water, I’d start by aiming across the surface and turning the filter until the glare eases; for a window, use the same approach while keeping your framing steady. The “4p” in the product name matters: this is the filter named for that Osmo Pocket setup, not a general filter recommendation. One practical limit: polarization depends on the light and angle, so don’t expect the effect to stay identical as you move around a scene.
