PolarPro Defender Body Cap - Canon EF Mount - Desert
PolarPro Defender Body Cap - Canon EF Mount - Desert | Cover your camera when the lens is off
When you take a lens off to pack your camera, the open mount needs a cover of its own. The PolarPro Defender Body Cap is made for that lens-off moment: fit it over the camera’s open mount while the lens is stored separately, or leave it in place between shoots. It’s a straightforward accessory for photographers who change lenses and want to keep the camera opening covered during storage and transport. Its job is practical rather than complicated: close off the mount when there’s no lens attached. That makes it most useful in a camera bag, on a shelf, or during a pause in a shoot when you don’t want the body left open. The name specifies a Canon EF mount and a Desert color, so those details are central when choosing this cap. It isn’t a universal cover; its stated mount is the one to match.
Specialist Note
The Desert color gives this cap a distinct look, which can make it easier to pick out among the smaller items in your camera bag. Its Canon EF mount is the key detail to match: this is for a camera body with that mount, not a general-purpose cover. I’d keep one with the body for the times you pack it without a lens, and fit it as soon as the lens comes off; that leaves the mount covered during the changeover and storage. It’s a simple, specific accessory, and its useful limit is just as clear: it only suits the stated mount. If your body is Canon EF, this is the Desert-colored option.
