PolarPro Shortstache Shift Filter Set - 49mm
PolarPro Shortstache Shift Filter Set - 49mm | A set sized for 49mm filters
The defining choice is the 49mm size: it gives this PolarPro Shortstache Shift filter set a clear place in a photographer’s kit, based on the filter diameter they need. It’s suited to photographers who already use, or are choosing, a lens setup that calls for 49mm filters and want this particular named set. The product is presented as a set, rather than a single filter, so it’s a way to choose the Shortstache Shift range as a group. That’s the useful point to start with when deciding if it belongs in your bag: identify the filter size your lens takes, then see whether 49mm is the match. The name gives you a specific PolarPro line and size to shop for; the appeal here is that clear, size-led choice, rather than an assumed effect or shooting style.
Specialist Note
Photographers who move between portraits and street scenes, and already choose filters for a particular look, are the people I’d point toward this set. The 49mm marking is the first thing to match: use it with a lens whose filter size is specified as 49mm, so you’re choosing the right size rather than relying on appearance. As a set, it suits someone who wants the Shortstache Shift name as their starting point for filter-led work, whether that’s a planned portrait or a walk through town. My honest advice is to decide on the filter size before thinking about the shoot; this product is specifically the 49mm version, so that number should guide your choice.
