Portkeys LH7H White

Portkeys LH7H White - 7-inch Full HD touchscreen monitor

A larger, brighter camera view makes it easier to judge framing and image detail on set. The Portkeys LH7H White is a 7-inch field monitor with a 1920 x 1080 display and 1000 cd/m² brightness, giving camera operators and small crews a clear external view over HDMI. It accepts and outputs video up to DCI 4K at 24p or UHD 4K at 30p, so it fits workflows built around those HDMI signals. Use it to check composition while operating a camera, assess focus with its monitoring tools, or review the image on a larger screen than a camera’s built-in display. The touchscreen brings its on-screen controls within reach, while support for 3D LUTs lets you work with a customised viewing look. For anamorphic work, the monitor offers image correction on HDMI output; cropping and vertical image stretch are available for other framing and monitoring needs. It’s a compact monitor for a camera rig or a video setup where a clear, feature-rich HDMI display matters. The white finish gives this version a distinct look on the rig.

Why it is useful

• Touchscreen control: Tap the display to work with the monitor’s controls on screen. That keeps key monitoring options close at hand during a setup.
• Wide viewing angle: The stated 170° horizontal and vertical viewing angles make the picture easier to see when the monitor is viewed from off-centre positions.
• 16:9 display: Its widescreen aspect ratio matches common video framing, so you can assess the composition in the shape it was captured.
• 3D LUT support: Load a supported LUT to view a customised look while monitoring, rather than relying only on the unaltered image.
• Anamorphic image correction: The LH7H can correct anamorphic footage on HDMI output, giving you a corrected view while monitoring an anamorphic setup.
• Framing and exposure tools: Cropping and vertical stretch are available alongside peaking, waveform and histogram tools. These options give you different ways to check the image on set.

Good to know

The monitor measures 176.2 x 103.8 x 18.4 mm and weighs 245 g, useful details when you’re considering space and weight on a camera rig. Power comes through its built-in L-series battery plate with a separately available battery, or through an optional DC power supply. The battery and DC supply are not listed as included items.
