Radius Windcover For Rycote WS3 / Perfect 416 Windshield
Radius Windcover For Rycote WS3 / Perfect 416 Windshield | Helps protect your windshield in a packed bag
Your windshield is less likely to pick up scratches and small bumps as it moves around with the rest of your kit. The Radius Windcover is a protective pouch for keeping that gear better protected inside a larger bag. It suits sound recordists and camera crews who want a simple way to store their windshield alongside other equipment, rather than leaving it exposed to loose accessories. Its job is practical: add a layer between the windshield and the everyday knocks of packing, carrying and unpacking. That makes it especially useful when you’re moving between locations or putting kit away after a shoot. Think of it as a pouch for storage and transport, not as a replacement for careful handling or a rigid case when heavier impacts are a concern.
Specialist Note
416 is the key reference in the name: this Radius pouch is intended for the Rycote Perfect 416 Windshield, and the title also names the Rycote WS3. If that’s the windshield you’re packing, the benefit is straightforward: you can keep it covered while it shares a larger bag with other kit. I’d consider it for location sound work, or simply for storing the windshield between jobs, where loose gear can cause scuffs. The product is described as a protective case or pouch, so I’d rely on it for scratches and bumps rather than heavy crushing or a hard impact. It’s a focused bit of protection for the named windshield, not a general-purpose case.
