Revar Cine 138mm / 52mm Close-Up Compression Diopter +1
Revar Cine 138mm / 52mm Close-Up Compression Diopter +1 | Bring close details into focus
Getting close to a subject can be frustrating when your lens won’t focus as near as the shot requires. The Revar Cine +1 close-up compression diopter is an optical accessory for that kind of close-detail work: it helps you focus nearer, so a small subject or a detail can take up more of the frame. The +1 rating is a mild close-up strength, suited to measured changes rather than extreme magnification. It’s aimed at filmmakers and photographers who want more room to work close without changing the subject itself. Use it for details such as a product feature, a texture or a small object, and adjust your framing and focus to suit. The 138mm / 52mm designation is part of this product’s name, so it’s important when identifying the version you need. This is a specific close-up tool, not a polarizing filter.
Specialist Note
One limitation to keep in mind: +1 is a gentle step, so it won’t give you extreme close-up magnification. That’s also why I’d suggest it when you want a controlled move closer, rather than a dramatic change in framing. The +1 rating gives you a clear indication of its close-up strength; use it for a small product detail or a surface texture, then adjust focus and framing until that detail sits where you want it. The 138mm / 52mm designation is equally important when choosing this particular version, so match that wording to the setup you’re planning to use. If subtle close-up work is the aim, this is a focused, straightforward option.
