Revar Cine 138mm / 60mm Close-Up Donut Diopter +0.50
Revar Cine 138mm / 60mm Close-Up Donut Diopter +0.50 | Bring close details into focus
For a closer view of a subject in a cine shot, the Revar Cine 138mm / 60mm Close-Up Donut Diopter +0.50 adds a gentle close-up effect. Its +0.50 strength is suited to bringing a subject nearer in the frame without making a strong change to the shot’s close-focus character. It’s a specialist accessory for filmmakers and camera crews who want more room to work with close details, such as a product insert or a carefully framed detail within a scene. The 138mm / 60mm designation is part of the product’s format, so this is a size-specific piece of kit rather than a general-purpose filter. The exact close-focus result depends on the lens and setup, but the modest diopter strength makes this a considered option when a small adjustment is all you need.
Specialist Note
Getting a close detail into frame can be awkward when you want to keep the shot’s look restrained; this diopter gives you a modest +0.50 close-up strength to work with. I’d consider it for product details or a close insert where you want to bring the subject nearer without reaching straight for a stronger diopter. The 138mm / 60mm designation matters in practical terms: it makes this a size-specific cine accessory, so it belongs with a setup that matches those dimensions, not a mixed bag of filter sizes. It’ll suit crews making deliberate close-focus adjustments. One limit: the precise working distance depends on the lens and setup.
