Rycote 5cm SGM Foam (24/25) (10 Pack)
Rycote 5cm SGM Foam (24/25) (10 Pack) | A simple foam layer for your microphone
Without foam around a microphone, light air movement and sharp bursts of breath can reach the capsule directly. The Rycote 5cm SGM Foam is a replacement foam accessory for an SGM microphone setup, giving you a straightforward way to add that protective layer. It suits anyone maintaining a microphone kit, keeping replacement parts ready, or looking to replace worn or misplaced foam. Its purpose is practical rather than complicated: fit the foam to the microphone and use it to help soften mild wind and breath noise during recording. The black finish keeps the accessory visually discreet on a working mic. The product name also includes the 24/25 designation, so keep that full reference handy when sourcing this particular version. It’s a small item, but having the correct foam available can save a recording setup from being left incomplete.
Specialist Note
What does the 5cm SGM Foam give you? A simple, specific foam accessory for an SGM microphone setup, supplied as a ten-pack. The 5cm size is useful when you need this named version rather than a generic piece of foam; keep the full 24/25 reference with your spare parts so you can identify it again. With ten in the pack, you can keep replacements close at hand instead of relying on a single spare. I’d consider it for routine microphone-kit upkeep or recording indoors where breath bursts are the concern. One limit to keep in mind: foam is a modest wind layer, not a substitute for more substantial protection in strong gusts.
