Rycote Sennheiser Memory Mic Mini Windjammer
Rycote Sennheiser Memory Mic Mini Windjammer | Help reduce wind noise
Wind can add distracting rumble to a recording, especially when you're speaking outdoors. The Rycote Sennheiser Memory Mic Mini Windjammer is an accessory made for the Sennheiser Memory Mic Mini, intended to help shield it from wind noise. It’s for people who already use that microphone and want a simple, model-specific option to consider when recording outside or in a breezy spot. That makes it relevant for spoken recordings, interviews and video where wind could otherwise compete with the voice. A windjammer is about managing wind, not changing the microphone’s recording features, so it’s best thought of as a practical extra for situations where air movement is a concern. If you’re choosing an accessory for another microphone, this isn’t a general-purpose fit: its name identifies the Memory Mic Mini specifically. For the right mic, it gives you a focused way to address one common source of unwanted noise.
Specialist Note
“Is this windjammer made for my Memory Mic Mini?” Yes: the Sennheiser Memory Mic Mini is named right in the product, so this is the one to consider for that microphone. Rycote makes the accessory, and its windjammer design is intended to help with wind noise rather than alter how the mic records. I’d think about it for an outdoor interview or a spoken video in a breezy location, where wind can be more intrusive than the room sound. Use it when wind is the issue you’re trying to manage; it won’t make every noisy recording problem disappear. Its specific fit is also its limit: it’s for the named mic, not a universal microphone cover.
