Sachtler SAC-7027 Mid-Level Spreader Cine
Sachtler SAC-7027 Mid-Level Spreader Cine | Keep tripod leg spacing controlled
Without a spreader, tripod legs are positioned individually, and their spacing can shift as you reposition the support. The Sachtler SAC-7027 Mid-Level Spreader Cine is a tripod accessory intended to keep that leg layout controlled at mid-height. It suits operators and crews building a cine tripod setup who want a dedicated way to manage the legs rather than relying only on how each one is placed. Its role is specific: it addresses tripod leg spacing, not camera movement or head operation. That can be useful when setting a support in a studio or on location, especially if you need to reset the tripod between positions. It’s a focused accessory, not a complete tripod solution. Because the exact fit depends on the tripod system, use the SAC-7027 designation when matching it to your setup; the product name alone doesn’t establish compatibility with every tripod.
Specialist Note
This accessory has a narrow job: it manages tripod leg spread, rather than adding support on its own. That’s also the reason to consider it when your cine tripod is already chosen and you want a more controlled leg layout. “Mid-Level” tells you where the spreader works in the tripod structure, while “Cine” points to the intended type of setup. I can see it being relevant for a fixed studio position or when resetting a tripod for a repeatable floor layout. Keep SAC-7027 to hand when discussing the part: 7027 is the model number, not a height or spacing measurement. I’d match it to the intended tripod before planning around it.
