SanDisk CF Extreme 64GB 120MB/Sec 85 MB Write UDMA 7
SanDisk CF Extreme 64GB 120MB/Sec 85 MB Write UDMA 7 | Quick transfers for your CF workflow
SanDisk CF Extreme 64GB 120MB/Sec 85 MB Write UDMA 7 is a CompactFlash card rated for transfers up to 120 MB/s, for photographers who want a practical card for everyday shooting and file handling. Its 64GB capacity gives you room for a session’s images before you need to move them off the card. The 85 MB/s write rating makes it relevant when you’re capturing a run of frames and want the card to keep up with the camera’s writing process. UDMA 7 identifies the card’s transfer standard, so it’s aimed at a CompactFlash workflow that can make use of that standard. This is a straightforward option for photographers who need a card for stills rather than a large-capacity archive. Use the rated speeds as a guide: actual transfer results depend on the camera or reader involved.
Specialist Note
At the touchline during an afternoon match, this card earns its place when the action comes in quick bursts. Its 85 MB/s write rating is the figure I’d pay attention to for sequences: it can help keep image writing moving, though the camera also affects how quickly its buffer clears. For a field session, shoot short bursts around the key action, then review and transfer the files when you have a moment. UDMA 7 makes this a card for a CF setup that supports that transfer standard. One practical point: 64GB is a defined amount of space, so plan to offload files if you’re shooting over a long day.
