SanDisk External SSD Extreme Portable 2TB USB-C 2000MB/s

SanDisk External SSD Extreme Portable 2TB USB-C 2000MB/s | Storage for a mobile workflow

Keep a working set of photos and video files together as you move between locations. The SanDisk External SSD Extreme Portable 2TB USB-C 2000MB/s is a portable external solid-state drive with a 2TB capacity, a USB-C connection and a stated speed of 2000MB/s. That gives you a dedicated place for files you want close at hand, rather than spread across memory cards and folders on a computer. It suits photographers and other creators who need to carry a sizeable collection of current work. The speed figure is useful when comparing drives, though it isn’t a promise that every transfer will finish at that rate; file size and the rest of your setup matter too. If your priority is keeping active files together in portable storage, this model’s combination of capacity and a clearly stated speed makes it straightforward to assess.

A practical place for active files

A separate drive can help give a project its own home: keep selects, exports or video files together, then bring that working folder with you when you change locations. It’s a simple workflow, but it can make it easier to pick up where you left off without having to search through several storage locations. The portable format is the point here: this is storage intended to travel, rather than a drive that stays installed inside a computer. Use a clear folder structure and consistent file names, and you’ll spend less time figuring out what’s where. For important work, keep another copy elsewhere; one drive on its own shouldn’t be treated as a complete backup plan. That’s an unglamorous detail, but a worthwhile one.
