Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV Pouch For 138mm
Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV Pouch For 138mm | A dedicated place for your filter
The defining choice is the 138mm format: the Schneider-Kreuznach MPTV Pouch is made for a filter of that size, giving it a clearly assigned place in your kit rather than treating it as a general-purpose accessory. It suits photographers who already work with 138mm filters and want a consistent place for a filter when it’s off the camera or filter rig. Put it away between setups, or keep the pouch alongside your filter equipment while packing; the point is to keep the filter and its designated storage together. The named size also makes it easier to distinguish this pouch from accessories for other filter formats when organizing a kit. Its value is practical, not optical: this is a storage accessory, so it won’t change the light reaching the lens or alter the image. If your filter workflow uses a different size, this isn’t the format to choose.
Specialist Note
Photographers who build their filter setups around 138mm filters are the people I’d point toward this pouch. The size in the name gives you a quick matching cue: keep it with your 138mm filter, and return the filter to it when you break down a setup rather than mixing formats in your bag. For transport, put the filter in the pouch before packing; when you’re done, return it there so it has a consistent place. I also find the MPTV name handy when identifying this specific Schneider-Kreuznach accessory among filter gear. It’s a pouch, so think storage and carrying, not an effect on exposure or colour. If your filters are another size, this particular format won’t suit them.
