Selens Mini V-Mount Battery Plate
Selens Mini V-Mount Battery Plate | A dedicated place for V-Mount power
Without a dedicated plate, incorporating a V-Mount battery into a tripod setup can mean making do with a less purposeful arrangement. The Selens Mini V-Mount Battery Plate is listed as a tripod accessory, and its name describes its role: a mini-format plate for V-Mount battery use. It suits camera operators who already work with a V-Mount battery and want a plate as part of a tripod-based setup. Its appeal is that focused purpose, rather than a long list of extras or adjustable features. If you’re planning a rig around V-Mount power, it gives you a specific accessory to consider for that part of the setup. The “mini” designation points to a compact-format product, though it’s sensible to think about the space available in your rig rather than assume a particular footprint. This is a straightforward, specialised accessory—not a general-purpose tripod add-on.
Specialist Note
Will this Selens plate give a V-Mount battery a place in a tripod setup? Yes—that’s the purpose its name and product category point to. I’d consider it when you want one dedicated plate in a rig planned around V-Mount power, rather than treating the battery as a loose extra. The mini format makes it worth considering for a setup where you’re keeping the accessory arrangement compact; the V-Mount designation keeps its use specific. For example, you could plan it into a tripod-based interview rig with one V-Mount battery as part of the power setup. My honest advice: don’t assume “mini” tells you the exact space it occupies, so allow room for the plate in your layout.
