Silicon Power DS72 SSD Stick 1TB USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A & Type-C

Silicon Power DS72 SSD Stick 1TB USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A & Type-C | One stick, two USB connector types

The Silicon Power DS72 SSD Stick 1TB pairs a 1TB external SSD with USB 3.2 Gen 2 and Type-A and Type-C connectors. It’s for anyone who wants storage in a stick format, with both connector types available on the product. That makes it worth considering for moving files between setups that use different USB connector types, provided the connected equipment supports the drive. A terabyte gives you room for a sizeable working collection of photos, video files or other data, without splitting that collection across several smaller drives. The DS72 is best suited to straightforward storage and file transfers where its stated capacity and connector options match the job. Its appeal is practical rather than mysterious: it’s an SSD stick, and the title tells you the capacity and connection standard.

For a photographer, it could be a place to keep a working set of images close at hand, or a drive to use when handing files between compatible devices. The Type-A and Type-C options make the connector choice part of the appeal; you can select the port that fits the setup in front of you. USB 3.2 Gen 2 is the stated connection standard, though that alone shouldn’t be treated as a promise of a particular real-world copy time. If you’re choosing storage for a specific workflow, think about the amount of data you plan to carry and which connector you’ll use most. The 1TB capacity is the clear headline here. The other useful detail is having both connector types in one SSD stick, rather than needing to choose a Type-A or Type-C version by name.
