SmallHD BMPCC Duel Shoe Assembly
SmallHD BMPCC Duel Shoe Assembly | A dedicated part for rig planning
The defining decision is the shoe-assembly format: this is a rig component, not a monitor or an imaging device. The name ties it to SmallHD and BMPCC, making it relevant to filmmakers planning a build around those product names. Its role is practical: a shoe assembly belongs in the part of the setup where you plan how rig components are supported and arranged. That makes it most useful when you’re working from a specific equipment list and want the named assembly, rather than a general accessory, in your planning. Keep the full product name with your rig notes so the “Duel Shoe Assembly” is easy to identify as you organise the build. It’s a specialist component, so its value is in matching the particular setup you’re planning—not in adding an image-making feature of its own.
Specialist Note
At the rig bench, the build list is open and the SmallHD BMPCC parts are being sorted into place. I’d keep this assembly identified by its full name: “SmallHD” and “BMPCC” are useful cues when you’re organising a setup around those labels, while “Shoe Assembly” tells you the kind of rig part you’re handling. It suits someone putting together a specifically planned camera rig, rather than someone shopping for a screen or a general-purpose accessory. Use it as part of your shoe-based rig layout, and keep it with the components assigned to that build. My honest advice is to treat the product name as specific; it isn’t a description of every shoe accessory.
