SmallRig 4796B L-Shape Mount Plate w/ Wooden Handle For Sony Alpha 7C II / 7CR
SmallRig 4796B L-Shape Mount Plate w/ Wooden Handle For Sony Alpha 7C II / 7CR | A dedicated plate and handle for your camera
When you’re setting up a Sony Alpha 7C II or 7CR with tripod accessories, a plate and a handle can make the camera easier to work with as part of your setup. The SmallRig 4796B brings those parts together in an L-shape mount plate with a wooden handle. It’s a tripod accessory made for these two camera models, so its appeal is its specific fit rather than a broad, one-size-fits-many brief. The named components also make its purpose clear: the plate is for mounting, while the handle gives you a place to hold the assembly. It suits owners who want those elements together around their compatible camera, whether they’re arranging a tripod-based setup or carrying the camera between positions. If you’re choosing accessories for a 7C II or 7CR, this is a focused option to consider when a mount plate and wooden handle are both part of the setup you want.
A focused accessory for two camera models
The 4796B is identified specifically for the Sony Alpha 7C II and Sony Alpha 7CR. That makes it easier to judge whether it belongs in your kit: it’s intended for those named bodies, not described as a general-purpose plate. Its L-shape design and wooden handle are the defining parts of the product, giving you a clear idea of what you’re adding without relying on claims about extra functions or included accessories.
Specialist Note
Keeping a mounting plate and a place to hold the camera together is the problem this accessory addresses. I’d look at the 4796B if you own a Sony Alpha 7C II or 7CR and want a dedicated tripod accessory with a wooden handle, rather than choosing a plate alone. The L-shape gives the accessory its distinct form; the wooden handle gives you a defined hold when repositioning the camera. It makes sense for a tripod-based setup and for moving the camera between positions. One point to keep in mind: its stated fit is specific to those two models, so it’s not a general Sony accessory.
