SmallRig 5223 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Wooden Handle For Fujifilm X Half (Silver)
SmallRig 5223 L-Shaped Mount Plate w/ Wooden Handle For Fujifilm X Half (Silver) | Extra support for handheld video
Handheld video with the Fujifilm X Half can feel easier to support with a dedicated grip point, and that’s the job of the SmallRig 5223. It’s an L-shaped mount plate with a wooden handle, made for the Fujifilm X Half and described as a shoulder rig. It suits X Half owners who film handheld and want extra support while recording. The wooden handle gives you a defined place to hold as you frame and move, while the L-shaped plate forms the camera-side support. It’s best suited to short moving clips, casual video updates and other handheld work where you’re following a subject. The silver finish gives the setup a distinct look. Think of it as a way to make handheld filming feel more deliberate, rather than a replacement for a tripod when you need a stationary shot.
Specialist Note
5223 identifies this particular SmallRig plate-and-handle setup, which is useful when you’re choosing an accessory for the Fujifilm X Half. I’d recommend it to someone making handheld video, especially short follow-along clips or a quick on-camera update. Hold the wooden handle as you frame and move; the rig is intended to give the camera extra support for that kind of work. The L-shaped plate makes this a shaped mounting support, rather than a handle on its own. It’s a focused tool for handheld filming, so for a locked-off frame, a tripod is the better fit.
