SmallRig 6074 Square ND Black Mist Filter Kit For iPhone 17 Pro (Silver) | Control daylight, soften highlights

The square filter format defines this SmallRig kit: it gives iPhone 17 Pro photographers a dedicated way to shape light and image character at the filter stage. The kit combines ND filtration, which reduces the light reaching the image, with Black Mist character that softens the rendering of highlights. That pairing suits mobile filmmakers and photographers who want more control over bright scenes without giving up the distinct look they’re after. Use the ND effect when strong daylight makes it hard to keep a chosen shutter setting for video; the Black Mist look can bring a gentler feel to portraits, night scenes and bright points of light. It’s a creative option for people who make images on an iPhone 17 Pro and want to make deliberate choices about both exposure and atmosphere. The silver finish gives the kit a clear visual identity, while the square format keeps the design focused on filter use with this phone.

Specialist Note

Phone filmmakers shooting outdoors in bright daylight are the people I’d point toward this kit. The ND part is useful when you want to hold a chosen shutter setting for video instead of letting harsh light dictate your exposure. Then there’s the Black Mist look: I’d use it for a portrait with bright lights in the background, where a softer highlight treatment can give the image more atmosphere. The square format is part of the product’s identity, so this isn’t a generic filter recommendation; it’s specifically made around the iPhone 17 Pro. One thing to keep in mind: Black Mist is a deliberate rendering choice, so it won’t suit every scene if you prefer a completely crisp, neutral look.
