SmallRig 6406 Clamp For HDMI Cable For Sony Alpha 7 V / 7 IV Cages
SmallRig 6406 Clamp For HDMI Cable For Sony Alpha 7 V / 7 IV Cages | Keep your HDMI cable held at the cage
A dedicated clamp for an HDMI cable is the defining idea here: it gives the cable a holding point on a compatible cage, rather than leaving it hanging loose from the camera connection. SmallRig makes this for cages for the Sony Alpha 7 V and Alpha 7 IV, so it’s a specific fit for those camera setups, not a general accessory for every cage. It suits anyone using an HDMI connection as part of a caged rig and wanting the cable kept in place while working. That’s particularly relevant when you’re monitoring the camera over HDMI and moving around a set: a cable held at the cage is easier to manage than one left to trail freely. It’s a focused accessory with one clear job—helping keep the HDMI lead organised at the cage.
Specialist Note
With the HDMI cable held at the cage, there’s one less loose lead to keep an eye on while you work. I’d look at this for a Sony Alpha 7 V or 7 IV setup where HDMI monitoring is part of the routine; keeping the cable at the cage gives it a more controlled route around the rig. It’s also handy when you’re packing and resetting a caged camera, because the cable has a designated hold point instead of simply dangling. Do bear in mind that this is a clamp for HDMI cable use with the specified cages, not a cage in itself. For that particular job, it keeps the setup focused and tidy.
