Sony CPL Filter w/ Een Diameter Van 67mm
Sony CPL Filter with 67mm Diameter | Control reflections outdoors
This Sony filter is a circular polariser, giving you a way to manage reflected light as you take the photograph. It suits photographers who want more control over reflections at the point of capture, especially when shooting water, foliage or a scene through glass. A polariser can also deepen a blue sky when the sun is at a suitable angle. Rotate it while composing and watch the effect change; the result depends on the light and your position, so it won’t look the same in every direction. It’s most rewarding when reflections are affecting the subject and you have a moment to adjust the filter. For outdoor landscapes or close details, that lets you decide how much glare remains in the frame instead of relying on editing later. If you want to preserve reflections as part of the image, this is a less suitable tool. Its strength is selective control, not a fixed look applied to every shot.
Specialist Note
The Sony CPL Filter with 67mm diameter is made to help control reflections while you frame. “CPL” identifies the circular polarising type; rotate the filter as you look at the scene to find the amount of glare reduction you want. For a pond or shop window, adjust it until more detail behind the reflection becomes visible. For a richer-looking blue sky, use it when the sun is off to the side of your view, then fine-tune the effect. The 67mm measurement is the size to match to the lens’s filter thread, so check that specific measurement before buying. I’d recommend it to someone who wants hands-on control outdoors; just remember that the effect depends on the light angle and won’t remove every reflection.
