Telesin 67MM1/4 Black Soft Filter
Telesin 67MM1/4 Black Soft Filter | Softer highlights
The defining choice is the 1/4 Black Soft effect: it’s intended to soften the rendering without making diffusion the main event. This Telesin filter is for photographers who want a gentler look from bright highlights, especially in portraits, evening scenes or shots with point lights in frame. The black soft designation describes the filter’s look; the 1/4 marking identifies its strength. That makes it a considered option when you want some softening rather than an overt, hazy effect. Its 67mm size is the practical detail to match to your lens’s filter thread. Use it when you’d like bright areas to feel less crisp while retaining the character of the scene. It’s a straightforward creative filter, not a UV filter: its purpose is to change the image’s rendering, not simply to sit in front of the lens as a protective layer.
Specialist Note
Portrait photographers working with window light or small lamps in the background are the people I’d point towards this Telesin. The 1/4 strength gives you a restrained starting point: keep a bright source in the composition and the filter is intended to soften its rendering without turning the whole frame into an obvious effect. The 67mm size matters at the counter, too; match that number to the filter thread on the lens you plan to use. I’d choose it when you want a softer look in portraits or night scenes, not when you’re after a strong, unmistakable diffusion effect. It’s a fixed-strength filter, so the look comes from choosing when to use it.
