Telesin Light Pollution Filter For DJI Osmo Pocket 3
Telesin Light Pollution Filter For DJI Osmo Pocket 3 | A dedicated filter for night scenes
For night scenes under urban lighting, a light pollution filter is intended to help manage the colour cast that artificial lights can add to the sky. The Telesin Light Pollution Filter For DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is made for use with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, giving Pocket 3 owners a filter option when filming or photographing after dark. It’s aimed at people who shoot city skylines, evening streets or night skies from places where streetlights and other artificial sources are part of the scene. The filter’s purpose is specific: address light pollution in the image, rather than act as a general-purpose filter for everyday shooting. Think of it as one part of your night-shooting approach, alongside choosing your framing and exposure carefully. It won’t remove the light sources themselves, and the result will still depend on the scene, but it gives you a dedicated tool for working with their effect.
Specialist Note
This Telesin filter gives DJI Osmo Pocket 3 users a dedicated optical option for scenes affected by artificial light. The “light pollution” in its name is the key point: it’s intended for night work, not as an all-day filter. I’d consider it for a skyline after dark or a night-sky composition near a town, where you can keep the Pocket 3 aimed at the scene and assess the result in the conditions you’re actually filming in. Its stated fit for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 makes it a specific accessory for that camera, rather than a filter to shop for by appearance alone. One limit to keep in mind: it can’t make bright lamps or a glowing urban sky disappear, so framing away from direct lights still matters.
Planning a night shot
For a useful comparison, frame the scene once with the filter and once without it, keeping the viewpoint and lighting conditions as consistent as you can. Pay particular attention to the sky and any illuminated areas in the image. That makes it easier to judge whether the filter’s effect suits the look you want for that location. If the frame is dominated by direct lights, try changing the angle or composition too; a filter is not a substitute for controlling what enters the shot.
