TetherTools TetherPro USB-C To 3.0 Male B 15' (4.6m) Black

TetherTools TetherPro USB-C To 3.0 Male B 15' (4.6m) Black | A longer tether cable run

A short cable can limit where you place your connected equipment. The TetherTools TetherPro gives you a 15-foot (4.6m) cable run, with a USB-C connector at one end and a USB 3.0 Type-B male connector at the other. It’s intended for tethered setups where those are the connections needed. The black finish keeps the cable visually simple, and the stated length gives you more room to plan your setup than a very short lead would. That’s the practical appeal: its connector ends and length are clear from the product name, so you can assess the fit for your cable route before choosing it. It won’t help if your setup calls for different connector ends, so the important thing is matching both ends to the ports you need.

Plan the cable run

When deciding if this cable suits your setup, think about the route between the two connection points, not just the straight-line distance. Allow for the path the cable needs to take around your workspace, and consider where the connected equipment will sit. The 4.6m length gives you a concrete figure to work with; it doesn’t tell you how your particular space is arranged. Measuring your planned route is a simple way to judge whether that length will reach without relying on guesswork.

Also pay attention to the connector names at both ends. USB-C is one end; the other is a male USB 3.0 Type-B connector. That distinction matters when selecting a cable for a tethered connection, because the ports at each end of your setup need to match. The TetherPro name identifies the cable, while the connection details and length do the useful work when you’re deciding whether it belongs in your kit. A straightforward cable, with no need to infer its ends from a vague product label.
