Tilta MB-T15-77 77mm Lens Attachments For MB-T15 Mini Clamp-On Matte Box
Tilta MB-T15-77 77mm Lens Attachments For MB-T15 Mini Clamp-On Matte Box | Extra support for handheld video
Handheld video is easier to manage when your camera has extra support. The Tilta MB-T15-77 is a shoulder-rig product intended for that kind of work: keeping the camera supported as you film by hand. It’s named for 77mm lens attachments for the MB-T15 Mini Clamp-On Matte Box, giving it a specific place in a matte-box setup rather than the role of a general rig accessory. That focus makes it relevant to video operators who are putting together a shoulder-supported camera setup and need the named lens attachments for their MB-T15. Think of it as a component for a particular rig arrangement, not a camera stabiliser or a standalone matte box. If your priority is extra support for handheld filming and your setup is based around the MB-T15, this is the product to consider.
Where it fits
This is a specialised part, so its usefulness depends on the setup it’s named for. It’s meant to sit within a camera rig built for handheld video, where added support can help you manage the camera during a take. It won’t replace steady handling, and it isn’t a complete matte box; its role is narrower and more specific.
Specialist Note
77mm is the key number here: it tells you which lens-attachment size this version is named for, so it’s worth matching that detail to the setup you’re building. The stated pairing is the MB-T15 Mini Clamp-On Matte Box, which keeps this part focused on that particular system. As a shoulder-rig product for handheld video, it suits operators who want extra camera support for moving shots or longer takes. I’d see it as a considered rig component, not a shortcut to steadier footage; controlled camera movement still matters. Its specific role is also its limitation: it’s for this named matte-box arrangement, not a general-purpose support part.
