Transcend CF 1000X 16GB | CompactFlash storage for a focused day

Keep your photos on a dedicated card, with 16GB of storage in a CompactFlash format. The Transcend CF 1000X 16GB is for photographers whose camera takes CF cards and who want a straightforward amount of space for a planned session, rather than a large-capacity card for a long stretch of shooting. Its 1000X name identifies the model, while the 16GB capacity gives you a clear limit to plan around. How many images or how much video that holds depends on your camera’s file settings, so there isn’t a reliable universal shot count to promise. For a short outing, a portrait session or a separate card for a particular assignment, that capacity can make it easier to keep your capture plans simple. It’s a CompactFlash card, so the key is having a camera with a CF card slot.

Specialist Note

It’s easy to focus on the 1000X marking and overlook the more practical question: how much space do you actually need? This card gives you 16GB to work with, which suits a planned session or a dedicated card for one assignment; it’s a finite amount, so I wouldn’t treat it as unlimited storage for a long shoot. The CF format matters too: your camera needs a CompactFlash slot for this card to be relevant. I’d use it to keep a short portrait session’s files together, then copy them off after the shoot before using the card again. The 1000X designation is part of the product name, not a promise of a particular number of photos or video minutes.
