Ulanzi CM029 Head Strap Mount V2 For GoPro Smartphone | Keep your hands free for POV footage

Keep your hands free while filming from your own point of view: the Ulanzi CM029 Head Strap Mount V2 is a head strap mount for GoPro cameras and smartphones. It suits anyone who wants the camera’s view to follow where they look, rather than having to hold the device while recording. That can make a first-person clip of a hands-on task easier to film, or give a walk-through video a view from the wearer’s perspective. The head-mounted angle is the point here; it shows what’s in front of you as you turn your head. That also means framing depends on where you look, so deliberate head movements help keep the footage easier to follow. It’s a straightforward option to consider when a hands-free viewpoint matters more than controlling the framing independently.

Specialist Note

For a hands-free first-person view, this head strap mount gets the camera out of your hands and puts the viewpoint where you’re looking. The CM029 is named for both GoPro and smartphone use, so it’s aimed at customers who want that kind of perspective with either of those devices. I’d consider it for a repair walkthrough or a clip showing a task as you do it: set your framing before you begin, then turn your head slowly so the view doesn’t jump around. V2 identifies this version of the CM029, without telling us what changed from an earlier one. The honest trade-off is that your gaze controls the frame; it won’t hold a view away from where you’re looking.
