Ulanzi CU03 Multi-Functional Super Clamp
Ulanzi CU03 Multi-Functional Super Clamp | Support for handheld video
Without a shoulder rig, handheld video means filming without that extra support in your setup. The Ulanzi CU03 Multi-Functional Super Clamp is a shoulder rig for people who want added support while filming by hand. It suits video makers who need to stay handheld for a shot rather than switch to a fixed support. Think interview segments, event coverage or other scenes where you’re filming without setting the camera down. Its strongest fit is exactly that: handheld video work where extra support matters. It’s a focused rig component, so it makes most sense when you have a clear need for support during handheld filming. If that’s the kind of work you do, the CU03 is worth considering as part of your setup.
Specialist Note
Can the CU03 help with handheld video? Yes—that’s the job I’d consider it for. As a shoulder rig, it’s intended to add support while you keep filming by hand. The multi-functional super-clamp format makes it a rig component to consider within your planned setup, rather than an imaging accessory. For an interview, use it during the handheld parts where added support matters; for an event walk-through, use it for the sections you need to film on the move. My honest caveat: it’s aimed at handheld support, so I wouldn’t choose it expecting one piece to cover every rigging need. If that’s your specific job, the CU03 makes sense to look at.
